Nature and Software

I found that there is a wonderful similarity between software and nature. Nature is an eminent architect of elegant software called universe. There are lots of software applications running in the wider operating system of the universe. For example, human body itself is an example of fool-proof six sigma coded software. Even in that foolproof software we get bugs called diseases. For that we have different development or more precisely bug fixers. For example, for skin related diseases we have dermatologists, equivalently UI developers. Kernel of human body is mind. For that we have the bug fixers called neurologists. We have physicians to check overall human health, equivalently the integrators. No regressions are expected in bug fixing of human body.

This is just a human body. One example of elegant software, of numerous applications, running in the wonder world. Likewise we can find lot of similarities between wider spectrum of computer science and nature. Eg., Multithreading, database, OS. etc. Interestingly, what might be reboot for the universe. Is it big bang? Probably nature is the longest running and running server.

Nature still has lot of hidden secrets which human mind yet to discover. I think if we try to find similarity between software and nature, we can find lot of voids in computer science which need to be filled by coming generations.

Save Life!!! Go Green

Yesterday was World Environment Day. This is a time to think about our planet Earth. Due to global warming we are on the verge of destruction if we do not take right steps as soon as possible. It is estimated that by 2030 we may loose some of the considerable amount of land. Before we reach the alarming proportion of destruction, let us do our best to save the planet. Let us use more of Solar energy and let us go green. Because we have only one life breeding planet in our solar system.

Tech. for Life or Life for Tech.?

Sometimes I think what drives the world. Is it need for more and more comfort? Is it shear technical obsession? When the human civilization started, it was the need that triggered the human mind to think and innovate. During Sindhu civilization the need given way to discover metals like iron. Then came canal system, sophisticated housings, etc. Making better use of the resources spread around in nature. Thus started something called 'SYSTEM'. May be this has evolved into culture. Now we are in the age wherein technology fulfills all our need, but still we thrive to innovate. Because this innovation drives the business and the world. But at the same time we need to remember that Technology is for us, Not we for technology. 

Mr. Perfection - No more relevant

Country, culture and heritage is above all things. If your mother land doesn't mean anything to you then sorry, you are no more relevant to us.
This man creates history in his each of the endeavour. His field of endeavour is film. The Bollywood... This is Aamir Khan.... His films in recent years have been a significant milestones in hindi movies. Among many other films Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, and Taare Zameen Par are notable. Each of these films were historic in themselves. Each of them give a strong message to society. Ghazani has been a perfect commercial movie. Hope Aamir will get the right credit to his performance, The Oscars.
